｜A story of ancient lock｜
Locks have been around for thousands of years, and their evolution has led to many different branches of lock culture influenced by various materials, tools, and cultures throughout history. For example, ancient China features the iconic spring lock, which is further divided into "Guang locks" and "Huaqi locks".
The most typical type of spring lock, known as the "spring bolt lock," uses a spring-loaded bolt to achieve locking functionality. The key for a spring lock is designed differently based on the position and shape of the holes and the configuration of the spring plates.
"Guang locks" are horizontal locks commonly used for doors, cabinets, and boxes. They typically have a concave front and are often made of brass. On the other hand, "Huaqi locks" are known for their unique and intricate designs. They are richly styled and symbolically significant, suitable for both locking boxes and as collectible decorative items.
